About
Blending a slick modern country sound with classic country grit, Matt Bohli's not a fresh face to the scene. He spent years backing country artists as an in-demand drummer on tours, showcases, and in the studio while residing in Nashville, Tennessee. For two years, he toured North America with Hank Williams III and “The Damn Band”, alternating traditional country grooves and abrasive in-your-face punk beats. Years later, Matt finds himself starting a new chapter, this time setting aside the drum set and sticks for a six-string acoustic guitar and a handful of songs. On his 2025 single release “Tennessee”, Matt's storytelling lyrics are reminiscent of country music's golden age, matched with an arena worthy groove and a melody that will stick with you.
“Tennessee” is the first of a few songs to come, all of which were produced by Matt Bohli and recorded in Nashville. For these new songs, he enlisted the talents of Jason Lehning for the recording/engineering (Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert), mixing by F. Reid Shippen (Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood), and mastering by Ted Jensen (Morgan Wallen, Post Malone).
Stick around, Matt Bohli is just getting started.
